There are several programs currently active or in development for certification of Green Buildings. TRA Certification, Inc. (TRA) is available to assist you in determining the most appropriate program for your product and guiding you through the certification process.
As defined by various proponents of individual green home certification programs, “A green home incorporates environmental considerations and resource efficiency into every step of the building and development process, to minimize environmental impact. The design, construction, and operation of a home must focus on energy and water efficiency, resource efficient building design and materials, indoor environmental quality, and must take the home’s overall impact on the environment into account”.
In order to provide an efficient and economical introductory step to Green Certification, TRA offers “Green Building Capability” certification, which provides you with a certificate attesting to your capability to manufacture Green Buildings.

TRA also provides Verification of Green Materials for suppliers who offer such products. This process is designed to assist suppliers’ marketing efforts by providing independent third party verification of the Green aspects of their offerings.
If you are ready to fully integrate Green Building procedures as an optional or standard process, TRA is available to provide guidance through the program most appropriate to your product and to provide the in-plant inspection services necessary. In many instances, we can also provide the required on-site services necessary for final issuance of a Green Certificate.
